English is Hard_

English Is Hard_ is an academic project from my freshman year at DigiPen Institute of Technology. For this project I worked in a group of 3 designers and we developed the game over a 5 month period.

It is an arcade style Missile Command typing game which includes 4 distinct enemies, a meteor boss wave, and 4 powerups. Players must type words to power up their cannon in order to fend off waves of cow-stealing aliens.

Philosophy:
- Not engaging in the typing mechanic should result in swift defeat
- The more a player types, the easier the shooting mechanics become

Desired Outcomes:
- Players prioritize a yellow-green power level
- Players attention is adequately split between typing and shooting
